2. Revit ↔ Anker Properties

We know this can be confusing, so please bear with us. 🙂

Anker’s core is the Anker Properties tab. In here, you can define all the metadata of your BIM model. Revit also has it’s own version of this - Shared & Project parameters.

We built Anker so that you can move over your Shared & Project parameters from Revit and simplify your workflows. So, in Step 2 of linking your Revit file, you will see “Select Parameters to Push”. This is an easy way to move over your existing Shared properties from Revit to Anker.

In the add-in window, on the right side, you will see Anker automatically pick up Shared parameters that have the same name in Anker. These will be then synced to Anker when setup is complete.

The shared parameters must be defined in Anker and have the same storage (type), otherwise the sync will fail.

After the sync is complete, you’ll see those shared parameter values as Anker property values. Anker will not delete or modify any shared parameters, it will only copy them.
