Description

Sheet mirror’s main goal is to provide better control over the creation, progression and issuing of drawings. It comes in two parts - Report and Miro. Both of them revolve around sheet sets and therefore, they both share a standard sheet sets management tab. You will need to follow the guide below and set up your connection to Miro before you can use the tool:

Sheet Sets Management

The Report part consists of two tabs - the sheet sets management tab and the export report to Excel tab. By default, when you use any Sheet mirror command you will first see the command’s tab. To switch to the sheet sets manager either click the “Sheet Sets” tab or the “Active Sheet Set” bubble. By using all of the filtering and selection options you can very quickly create, manage or check all of your sets and have better control than the standard Revit set manager. A lot of offices have the practice of saving each package of issued drawing as a new sheet set, which leads to a lot of sets that need to be checked and managed.

  1. The Sheet Sets Tab: Press here to open the manager.

  2. The list of all Sheet Sets: You can only choose one active set at a time. If you need to export multiple sets, you will have to run the command multiple times. You can click a set’s name to rename it (see below). You can see the number of selected sheets in the set in brackets after the name and in gray.

  3. Set buttons - from top to bottom:

  1. Search Term: All the sheets in the project are displayed below in the sheets list (6) . By using a search term you can filter the sheet list. The filtering is done using a CONTAINS filter.

  2. Filter Parameter: You can add a filter parameter to the sheets’ naming. You will see it at the end of the sheets as “ | <parameter value>”. This value will also be used in the filtering when using a search term (4). This input box has an auto-complete feature. A list of matching sheet parameters will be listed after you enter a few characters.

  3. The list of sheets: Sheets are displayed as <Sheet Number> : <Sheet Name> | <filter parameter value>. This is an extended selection list and you can use the CTRL or SHIFT buttons to select or deselect multiple items. Alternatively you can use the “All/None” checkbox to quickly select or deselect all visible. You can also use the “Hide Unchecked” checkbox to unclutter the sheet list and easily hide all of the unchecked sheets.

  4. The Next button: Depending on which command you are on, this will navigate you to the main tab of the command.

  5. The Save button: The button will change its colour to red every time you make a change to your sets to remind you to save your changes if you want to close the window without exporting.
